Rise! From the shattered remains of the earth
In some ways we called this rebirth
But they took all that kept us close too ourselves
Watch, as they undo the fabric of life
Society, now a wasteland, and I
Alone in the dust as it settled around.
Part III: Invasion
It rained down upon us
the lightening and thunder
of fear, dread, and wonder
of things torn asunder
And for all hope I kept!
Of the loss, death, and regret,
to mean something to me,
but when they came, I could see
My hope was gone,
And the night seemed long,
But I must fight on through the night.
Part IV: The Battle
Part V: Keep Your Hope
As the dust fell around me,
the sun, finally rising,
lit up that old dark sky,
and I fell to my knees.
The fighting was over,
and strewn down around me,
the fallen and enemy,
one said this to me:
"Through hope we have victory,
and we live on from this day,
though we've fallen in some way,
through the hell that they made."
And I know not who he was,
for with that he left me,
but together I knew that,
We triumphed that day.
And though we held victory,
And though we persevered,
I know it feels worth it,
But what was the cost?
As the dead lay around me,
I watched as they found peace,
which came over me too,
and I felt alive
I know something is needed,
to live through such terror,
and through all you must keep it,
you must keep it close.
Keep Your Hope.
